`Hécula` Monastrell 2019

Certified organic, this is sourced from Las Gruesas and Pozuelo vineyards. At 750 metres above sea level, the area has a very different microclimate to the rest of the region. It has minimum temperatures of -10ºC in winter and up to 42ºC in summer, and is subject to heavy rainstorms. The average age of the vines is 50 years old, planted at a density of 1,600 vines per hectare. Soils are a mix of sandstone and limestone. This displays exceptional value for money and impressive balance. Succulent black fruit, sweet spice and liquorice, tempered by supple ripe tannins and juicy acidity.
