Bodegas Solar Viejo

Part of the Freixenet-Henkell Group and the Ferrer Family, Bodegas Solar Viejo was founded in 1937 on the outskirts of the ancient walled town of Laguardia, Rioja Alavesa. With award winning wines principally made using 100% Tempranillo by long-serving winemaker, Vanesa Insausti, the winery has consistently focussed on quality and bright fruit styles. Recent accolades include medals in IWC, IWSC and DWWA as well as a trophy in the Drinks Business Rioja Masters.
